Last game. We pretty much dominated, but couldn't sink a goal. Lost 1-0. They were a bunch of wankers. While covering one guy on a corner kick, he palmed my face when the ref wasn't looking and tried to push me down. So I pretty much tackled him. Hey, if the ref's not looking, the ref's not looking.
I had one shot, which was on goal, but was blocked. Injuries: bloody knee, bruise on inside of same knee, nicked ankle, sore neck. Hey, I held nothing back. But I have eight months to recover.

THE BITTER END
(by Leon O)
MPFC 0 vs Marcellin Eagles 1
MPFC have gone down 1-0 to Marcellin Eagles in a disappointing end to what has been a successful second half of the campaign.
MPFC were quick to get out of the blocks, with Ochsenbein providing an opportunity for Abbey within 2 minutes that was hooked wide. MPFC continued to camp themselves in the M.E half, with only the occasional counter-attack from M.E posing any danger. Sampson and Ochsenbein worked well up front, with Ochsenbein providing numerous crosses from the wings that were unfortunately not converted. A goal from Ochsenbein was disallowed 5 minutes before half time when handball was called after a M.E defender kicked the ball against Ochsenbein who slotted home from 10 yards. Half time soon came, and it appeared as if MPFC were on top of M.E.
The second half started well for MPFC when Sampson put Ochsenbein through after 2 minutes for a 1 on 1 with the M.E keeper. Unfortunatley for MPFC, the ball bobbled just as Ochsenbein shot, and the ball was sliced wide. It seemed like it was going to be one of those days again, with MPFC being clearly the better side but not being able to win the game. The rest of the second half was played mostly in midfield, with M.E looking dangerous on the break with some skilful players up front. M.E took the lead with 10 minutes left on the clock when a lofted through ball from midfield caught the MPFC defenders unaware. The M.E striker slotted the ball home for an undeserved 1-0 leads. The last 10 minutes saw numerous forward surges by MPFC, with none producing a goal. The full time loss sounded, for a disappointing 1-0 defeat that marred an otherwise succesful second half of the season.
