Soccer

Last game of the year for the thirds team. We continued our unbeaten streak, winning 4-1, and finished very strong -- I think we won nine of our last 10?

We didn't actually play as well as we have been playing, but it was good enough. I missed an absolute sitter of a chance, where a corner kick was played in low and deflected right to my feet. By the time I figured out which foot to hit it with it scooted by me, right to our striker who finished cleanly. I missed another good chance when a header was sent back across goal, and I just barely missed it.

Played with a bit of a corkie (charley horse) in my left calf from last week's game, but never noticed it. No other injuries to speak of.

Movies

Caught "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", which was cotton candy, and "The Inside Man", which was pretty good.

Book

Started Stephen Baxter's "Manifold: Origin", but started skimming after a hundred pages. Not his best effort by a long shot. Had to skim all the way to the end, though, since it was the last of the trilogy.

Movie

We saw "Thank You For Smoking" today, which was good fun.
